The role will be instrumental in collaborating with commercial, project management, engineering and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects. In your role as a Senior Bridge Engineer your technical skills in transport structures will be of key importance. You will exercise sound judgement and initiative while undertaking both your project responsibilities and design tasks. It would be expected that your immediate focus would be in the areas of technical leadership and high-quality project delivery across a range of infrastructure projects from small structural design tasks through to major highway and rail projects. You will maintain chartered status and other technical competency requirements such as RSW. You will be expected to provide structural bridge design and management skills, leading and reviewing the work of others and adding capacity to the bridge team. You will be expected to work collaboratively with other members of the Transport and wider Jacobs team across multiple disciplines, including mentoring of less experienced staff, providing inputs to tender bids and marketing to external and internal clients. Leading medium to large bridge and related structural infrastructure projects to an independency level commensurate with an executive level bridge engineer. You will be involved in a range of project delivery models across design only, D&C and Alliance based contracts. You will project manage small to medium sized bridge related projects and assist or lead proposal and bid preparation. Interface with clients, client representatives and our Jacobs virtual teaming groups will be an essential part of this role. Project delivery is a key responsibility of this role with success determined by on time delivery, quality and meeting project budgets.Here's What You'll Need:Strong technical experience in Bridge and transport infrastructure design Competent in multiple structural analysis and design software Independent reviews of structural design on other projects Jacobs.
