1st Choice builder is a well known and most experienced residential and commercial builder in the Sydney region. Currently seeking for a civil engineer/ estimator in our office in Condell park. Along with estimation, this role will also be responsible for planning, contract administration, and coordination with site team.

Our ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of residential and commercial building constructions and demonstrate:

• - Must be familiar with Australian construction standards
• - Degree qualified in Civil or relevant engineering
• - Preparing and overseeing budget for each project, including supplies and material quantity take-off and labor requirement for each project
• - Prepares project schedules and monitoring
• - Quantity take-off using software (ArchiCAD, Revit or similar), get quotes from vendors, and manipulating the cumulative BOQ item rate and calculate item wise cost. Extract area schedules from above-mentioned software
• - Coordination with site team and subcontractor to ensure high standard work would deliver
• - Experience in technical report writing, contract administration
• - Strong computer literacy is essential
• - Capable of reading drawings, constructions documents, knowledge of council function and understanding of contracts
• - Excellent communication skills, being reliable, working hard, using initiative, adaptable to change and ability to work in a team as well as autonomously
• - Desire to learn and develop skills
