We are looking for an experienced Estimator/Quantity surveyor!!!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process. 

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process
• Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates
• Management of tender documentation and appropriate distribution
• Coordinating the measurement, pricing and comparative analysis for assigned tenders or negotiated bids

Skills and Requirements

• Demonstrated Construction experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Detail focused with strong written and verbal communication skills
• High-level technical building knowledge
• Excellent cost planning and estimating experience
• Relevant tertiary qualification in construction, estimating or quantity surveying
• Previous experience in Contract Administration desirable, as there is possible additional scope to the role
• Previous experience in estimating for Federal, State or Territory projects desirable

Qualifications

• Qualifications in construction and/or construction engineering
• Experience in working in the formwork industry
• Minimum two years experience in similar role
• Estimating, contracts administration experience
• Excellent communication skills, tender presentation and systems
