ABB's Process Automation Business is currently seeking an experienced and energetic Sales Engineer to drive sales performance by planning and executing the sales strategy for the services applicable to the customers within your allocated region.

Your responsibilities

  • Implement sales strategy, including initiatives for growth, in alignment with Process Industries Division overall plans and expectation.
  • Drive an expanded solutions and services portfolio with existing customers and identify market white-spots to target the acquisition of new service customers.
  • Ensure achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by setting appropriate winning strategies to protect price and margins.
  • Coordinate the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, orders, contracts, etc.
  • Support the development of strong relationships with key customers. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers.
  • Monitor client financial status, Identifying and managing potential risks relating to contract agreements across customers/channels.
  • Live ABB's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business

Your background

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in sales role in mining segment, automation, control and/or electrification experience is highly regarded.
  • An engineering degree (or recognized equivalent) preferred
  • Knowledge and application of the sales process and value-based selling.
  • Knowledge in ABB's portfolio of products, services and solutions would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of greenfield and large brownfield and after-sales service.
  • Cost calculation and finance knowledge and commercial aspects of business.
  • Experience in business development, account management and cross-selling across systems, solutions, products and service categories.
  • Understanding of contract negotiation, risk management and commercial and legal terms.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, customer-focused mindset and a professional, "can-do" attitude.
