PWR Advanced Cooling Technology, an ASX listed company, is a global market leader in the design and manufacture of advanced cooling solutions. As a worldwide leader in cooling technologies, PWR supplies high profile race teams in Formula 1, NASCAR, Supercars, WRC, DTM, Moto GP and LMP among others. PWR also has a strong presence in the automotive aftermarket and is continually growing OE business activities with high-end and prestigious customers, complimented with accelerating growth in Defence and Aerospace as a highly capable Advanced Manufacturing facility.

Based at Ormeau, PWR Australia’s purpose-built manufacturing facility includes an extensive R&D department with a wind tunnel test facility, controlled atmosphere and vacuum brazing, welding, fabrication and CNC machine shop. In addition to our head office on the Gold Coast, we also have manufacturing facilities in the USA, and sales and distribution in the UK and Europe.

Job Description

Responsibilities and Key tasks:

The Project Engineer role within PWR will be the point of contact for programs of significance and liaise with Customers, Suppliers and internally within PWR departments to achieve key target objectives. These programs can range from established PWR supply contracts through to the development of PWR suppliers or subcontractors for the development of new processes or technology. Other key tasks are listed below:

  • Customer Support for new & established Key Accounts
  • Thermal system predictions to support customer specific projects
  • Generation of project specific quotes and tender submissions
  • Internal and external project tracking to ensure all supporting materials, production and processing can be completed in a timely manner to meet project timelines and delivery dates

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role the successful applicant will have several years of prior experience as a Project Engineer or Technical Sales Engineer within Aerospace, Defence, Automotive or Motorsport Industries. PWR is looking for an enthusiastic personality to join our dedicated and results driven team, with a flexible working approach to meet the demands of high-level global customers.

The ability to multi-task and work collaboratively with other internal departments is fundamental to ensuring success. Other Skills and Experience for the role are:

  • Formal Engineering Qualifications
  • Demonstrated manufacturing experience
  • Sound knowledge of thermal systems and heat transfer
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Advanced level computer skills including CAD
  • Design Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to manage parallel projects in a professional manner
  • Good practical engineering knowledge of PWR products and process capabilities
  • Communication Skills (Internal and External)
  • Time Management Skills
