The Role
Due to growth we are seeking a Senior Pipeline Engineers to join our high performing Technical Services team. In these challenging and diverse roles, you will have the opportunity to do incredible things working on a variety of large Engineering & Construction, Hydrocarbons projects. Responsibilities Will Include
- Deliver pipeline engineering services that meet Worley, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget;
- Experience in design or operations of high pressure hydrocarbons pipelines;
- Familiar with AS2885 suite of standards;
- Experience with PE gathering systems design to APGA. Code Of Practice PE Gathering Systems will be highly regarded;
- Pipeline Engineering areas of experience include:
- Pipeline Engineering Design to AS2885;
- Awareness of all aspects of Pipeline Safety Management to AS2885.6;
- Pipeline route selection and pipeline alignment sheet development;
- Pipeline assemblies and station design;
- Engineering input of pipeline and station drawings;
- Working knowledge of Cathodic Protective systems;
- Experience with Brownfield work including 3rd party encroachment of pipeline assets highly desirable;
- Experience in material selection, fracture control plans and line pipe specifications is desirable;
- Familiar with AS2885.3 Operations and maintenance is desirable;
- Develop Specifications, data sheets and Scope of Work for Pipeline equipment;
- Technical Bid Evaluation and Vendor Data Review;
- Develop Fabrication and installation Specifications and Scope of Work;
- Communicate effectively with the other disciplines Engineering teams and project stakeholders, including the client;
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
- Co-ordinate, Supervise and review work through our value engineering centres in overseas locations
To be considered for these roles it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Australian recognized Degree in Engineering
- Registration: Charted Engineer, RPEQ for QLD and prepared to become RPEV as applicable;
- Minimum 10 years’ engineering experience in Oil & Gas, Refining or Chemicals;
- Effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers;
- A good working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of pipeline engineering, and the basic requirements of mechanical, pipeline and other engineering fields;
- Awareness of the APGA Pipeline Engineer Competency System;
- A good working knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications;
- Competent use of engineering specific software and relevant software such as MS Office Suite;
- Superior written & verbal English Skills;
- Ability to work under minimal supervision whilelst maintaining the ability to deliver assigned projects on budget and on time;
- Engineering experience in the same or similar industry and developing leadership skills.
