The Opportunity & Team 

Our Salisbury site delivers a vast range of our local and international brands within our dairy portfolio such as Pura, Farmers Union, The Complete Dairy, Classic flavours, Feel Good Coffee and Dare. We are looking for a passionate Reliability Team Leader to join our team. 

You will lead a cross functional team of up to 15 and be a key member of the Reliability Team, playing an integral role in developing a continuous improvement focus across the site. Additionally, your role will focus on building engagement in the team to improve OEE and strong support to our manufacturing teams. By implementing best practice reliability engineering capability and systems you will also provide the best practice support to the team and across the sites functions.

Reporting to the Reliability Engineering Leader you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing best practice reliability engineering capability & systems
  • Providing best practice support and customer service across site departments
  • Supporting site in achieving SOAP targets via implementation of best practice Asset Management
  • Supporting to Continuous Improvement, DMAIC’s & SPS
  • Production Team - shift engineering support
  • Ensuring standards and quality of work are carried out in line with safe engineering work practices and food safety requirements
  • Supporting and assisting in the development of HACCP, Safety and Environmental plan
  • Ensuring all relevant plant and equipment statutory compliance is maintained
  • R&M AOP labour and materials budgets, maintenance service contracts
  • Minor Capital Project delivery and 3 year Capital planning 
  • Delivering the drive and sustain Reliability KPI's 
  • Maintaining high standards in relation to Safe Work Practices.

This role would suit either an experienced or emerging people leader from an Engineering operations function, who enjoys achieving through others and leading change. Your strong focus on building capability will be imperative as we continue to embed people processes and a world class culture. You will utilise your business acumen alongside your engineering expertise. This role will build on your in-depth understanding of manufacturing, packaging and engineering.

Ideal Experience would include:

  • Leadership experience within an Engineering Operations function
  • A mechanical or electrical trade qualification is required (or engineering degree in relevant field) 
  • Solid understanding of processing and packaging within FMCG is preferred
  • Demonstrated process improvement skills with analytical ability and strategic problem solving (DMAIC, RCA, FMEA, process improvements & corrective actions)
  • Experience in the use of a Manufacturing Excellence framework to drive performance improvement
  • Exceptional coaching and partnering capability, with an ability to collaborate across all levels 
  • Experience with change management, ability to influence change
