JOB DESCRIPTION
Due to growth in our technical department and market we have a new position available for a Mechanical Engineering Technician with skills and experience in:
- Hydraulic system diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Automotive electric/electronic diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Field and workshop based to join our passionate and dynamic team and support our rapidly expanding customer base throughout Australia.
Primary Purpose: To support our customers, the end-users of our range of viticulture equipment to ensure that the user experience is 100% positive, to respond to customers needing information and/or support in a timely and pleasant manner and to build the company's reputation for premium customer service.
Specific duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Devanning & assembling new equipment on arrival
- Pre-delivery inspections and testing
- Delivery & installation of equipment with end-users
- Support and technical training with dealer network and/or end-users
- After-sales support for end-users including operator training and assistance
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues
- Timely and accurate job recording and reporting
- Rapid response to customer needs
- Involvement in active demonstration programs and customer events
- Maintenance of clean, tidy and organised workspace both in the workshop and in company vehicle
Experience with vineyard equipment such as harvesters, vine sprayers and canopy equipment an advantage but not essential.

Ideal applicant will:
- Hold clean drivers license for both car and truck, forklift
- Be able to demonstrate a passion for customer service and 'can-do' attitude
- Be willing to travel and work extended hours during seasonal high-pressure points
- Be self-managed and able to work unsupervised
- Be responsible and accountable for providing solutions and caring for customer needs
- Be computer literate and an excellent communicator both verbal and written
- Be willing and able to train and mentor junior technicians
- Have machinist experiance.
Position includes company vehicle for business use, mobile phone and computer along with any equipment and tools needed for the role.
The position reports directly to Workshop Manager
