The opportunity:

We are looking for someone with a strong background in operational improvement and data analytics to work closely with the broader team to provide support to a range of clients and projects. With strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to utilise a range of statistical techniques, the person will be required to provide accurate and analytical outcomes for projects to support identified improvement opportunities.

What the role entails:

  • Collaborate closely with other business stakeholders to deliver data solutions to maximise the business value.
  • Identify and implement improvements to optimise production and maintenance activities based on analytical outputs.
  • Build causal and predictive models for production, cost and financial data
  • Develop performance report analysis in a daily, weekly, monthly format.
  • Financial/Cost analysis
  • Capital/project evaluation
  • Strong problem-solving skills, logical thinking and sound decision making
  • Frequent travel to client sites is required.

What you will need:

  • Qualification in Engineering or related discipline
  • Business analytics experience, preferably within Mining, Heavy Industry, Refinery, or Manufacturing industries
  • Extensive experience with data collection (including SQL queries), sorting and modelling of large data sets and creating detailed reports and presentations.
  • High problem-solving skills, attention to detail and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage self and others time, priorities and activities.
  • Fluency in Portuguese would be highly favourable.
