JOB DESCRIPTION
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Mining Discipline Engineer commencing immediately, FIFO from Perth.This position will hold an 4/3 roster and be ongoing in duration.
Reporting to the Senior Mine Planning Engineer, this role is responsible for carrying out detailed mine design work and some aspects of short-term production scheduling associated with the delivery of the 2 year and 3 month mine plans to set standards.
Duties will Include:
Deliver operational pit designs and related infrastructure designs for 2 Year & 3 month mine plans
Must be capable of understanding design standards, procedures and mine physicals
Haulage scheduling, optimisation, waste dump designs and schedules
Adherence to quality design standards
Requirements of the Role Include:
Relevant experience gained as a mining engineer with planning and design experience
Bachelorâs degree in mining engineering or similar
Practical approach to engineering and design problems
Knowledge in open pit mining preferably in iron ore and surface mining
Short to medium term planning and scheduling and mine design knowledge
Computer proficiency (Excel, MS Office, Vulcan, Alastri suite of softwareâs)
Strong analytical skills
Strong attention to detail
Team orientation and strong ability to take initiatives
Be able to pass a full Pre-Employment Medical and Police Clearance
Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
