About The Role

We are currently seeking for a full-time Carpenter and Joiner to join our team in South East Queensland.

As a Carpenter and Joiner, your everyday responsibilities include the following:

Interpretation of drawings to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures;

Ordering Materials;

All aspects of set-out, including setting out all built elements using Trimble Total Station;

Detailed Carpentry/Joinery and building related activities, namely: tie-downs and bracing to footings, preparing wet areas prior to specialist waterproof applications, liaising with other trades eg plumbing and electrical;

Assembly/construction of outdoor furniture using timber and steel, including erecting framework, cutting wood joints and verifying trueness of structures;

Preparing safety assessments on individual projects under the employee's supervision.

Updating internal quality assurance records through Inspection Test Plan register.

We are looking for candidates who have at least 5 years continuous experience with formwork of bespoke concrete furniture and urban infrastructure elements, construction of timber shade structures in a landscape environment and detailed set out and interpretation of drawings using Trimble Total Station survey system. The right candidate is not required to hold formal qualifications in Carpentry and Joinery (this being Certificate III or higher in Carpentry and Joinery).

To be successful in the role, you will need to have the following :

Class 1 formwork skill including steel reinforcement placement, concrete placement and finishing

Erection of timber structures, picnic shelters

Can work to provided plans and under pressure to definite time lines

Current Drivers Licence

We are offering a generous salary of $65,000 to $75,000 per annum (exclusive of Superannuation) to the right candidate (dependent upon experience)
