JOB DESCRIPTION

Blackbird IT are after an additional Level 2 Engineer to support our company's growth. The successful applicant will be working with an established team to deliver high quality support and solutions to our clients.


The objective of this position is to support a mix of traditional and cloud IT infrastructure, including the implementation of new hardware and software, to business and educational clients in a timely manner, both on the client premises and from a remote access point as required.

Some things you will be responsible for:-

  • Provide technical direction and guidance to clients;
  • Work with your peers to solve technical issues;
  • Assist with pre-sales and quoting process;
  • Implementation of servers, storage and network devices;
  • Maintenance and planning for clients' requirements;
  • Network documentation and job reporting;
  • Troubleshooting of clients technical issues;
  • May be directed to perform other duties consistent with the training and skill levels required for this position.

If the above has your attention, successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate the below:-

  • 2+ years of Systems Integration, and/or Consulting related experience in complex environments with knowledge around server, virtualisation, messaging and networking technologies;
  • Microsoft 365 experience;
  • Microsoft Azure experience;
  • Windows server experience;
  • VMWare ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V experience;
  • Exercises exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with work colleagues and clients alike at all levels of an organisation to build trusted relationships;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to respond to issues such as complex, unusual, intermittent or undefined malfunctions which may require the development of new alternative approaches;
  • Client centric background and focus;
  • You have a sense of urgency but still appear calm under pressure;
  • Can work independently to get things done.
