About the role

An outstanding career opportunity now exists for an experienced Product Design Engineer to join their ever growing team based in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs. 

In this challenging and dynamic role, reporting to the Managing Director, you will be charged with creating and issuing drawings, specifications to support production, new product development and ongoing product improvement.

Some key responsibilities within the role include;

• Create, maintain part, assembly, and general arrangement drawings using SolidWorks software
• Undertake stress analysis using FEA and classical techniques
• Create engineering soft deliverables, including; DFMEA, DVP and PDS
• Support BOM and documentation release work for customers, marketing, sales and productions

To make the transition as smooth as possible, as the ideal candidate you will possess the following key attributes:

• Previous engineering design and development experience within the camper trailer/caravan industry or a related industry
• Knowledge of or experience with camper trailers/caravans
• Strong CAD & CAE skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and time management skills
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
