Backed by their US Parent, this successful global giant has taken huge steps into the Australian market and have a clearly articulated vision of their success trajectory. New projects and exciting growth plans, they are seeking to appoint an equally dynamic and experience WHS Manager to be at the forefront of this future success.
- Identifying areas of improvement and driving health & safety behavioural change across the business
- Updating and maintaining reporting systems to monitor safety systems compliance, injuries and incidents
- Managing statutory compliance with WHS regulations, auditing safety protocols and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Providing training on new WHS initiatives and actively championing a safety first culture
- Responsibility for injury management including overseeing return to work plans in conjunction with external advisors and agencies
- Review and instigate emergency planning protocols including environmental protection and industry best practice
- Engage with all stakeholders to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the context of a Zero Harm culture.
- Hold tertiary qualifications in WHS or have equivalent industry based training
- Demonstrate at least 2-3 years in a similar hands-on WSH leadership role with a strong manufacturing environment
- Be a strategic thinker, with the ability to identify problems, develop solutions and implement remedial actions efficiently
- Have exceptional communication skills with a particular focus on the ability to engage, inspire and change behaviours across all levels within the organisation
- Be compassionate when managing injuries whilst commercially astute when dealing with external providers
- Be passionate about WHS with the drive and self-awareness to drive behavioural change and be a true leader in a safe workplace culture.
