Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking an Apprentice Fitter to join our Water & Waste Department.

Primary Objective of the position:
Assist in the repair and service of Council's Water & Waste Assets while achieving the competencys and training required to successfully complete a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical)

To be successful in this role you must have:
Minimum Year 10 schooling
Working Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
Ability to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships in a friendly and flexible manner
Mechanical aptitude with demonstrated evidence through interests, hobbies, experience or training an advantage.
