Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the planning and coordination of program hardware integration activities, and delivering hardware integration services for systems and/or sub-systems of products
  • Preparing definition documents, solution specifications, design documentation, acceptance test procedures and other associated documentation to align with project objectives, and participating in the product integration and verification phases
  • Integration of the solution elements in a logical and controlled manner to evaluate the design, behaviour, interactions and performance to confirm that the requirements against which the solution has been designed are fulfilled
  • Product installation, configuration, validation and handover of equipment to systems integration teams locally or on customer sites
  • Defining and leading infrastructure testing activities in order to demonstrate the solution satisfies the user requirements
  • Participating in Design Reviews with customers
  • Identifying risks and proposing effective solutions

Skills and Experience required:

  • Must be a citizen of Australia with full work rights and be eligible for security clearances (Baseline).
  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering from one of these specializations - Electronics, Computer Science, IT or other relevant qualification
  • Must have solid experience in configuration of Red Hat Linux operating system, including Kernel configuration, driver packages, performance tuning and automation
  • Experience with Automation Tools, preferable Ansible, and hands-on CI/CD experience like Jenkins, Travis, Octopus
  • IAAS/PAAS experience (AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
  • Experience in scripting languages like Python, Perl and Shell
  • Familiarity with a wide range of computer and networking hardware (HP and Cisco products)
  • Solid understanding of hardware integration and testing processes
  • Practical experience of validation and integration of hardware components on large, complex, software-based systems
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise documents that clearly articulate complex technical detail
