Our client is a leading and reliable manufacturing and maintenance services provider with their clients predominantly in the mining and oil & gas sectors. They are actively seeking an experienced Estimator on a permanent basis to join their growing team.

Description

Reporting to the General Manager roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Managing all estimating task for the quotation and tendering of heavy machining and mechanical packages

• Estimation of machine shop activities

• Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of fabrication, welding and assembly processes

• Provide quality assurance, contract documentation and interpretation of mechanical drawings and material take-offs. Strong commitment and demonstration to HSE and QA

Profile

• The successful candidate will have more than 10 years' experience with a relevant trades background in the mining machining and fabrication area

• A degree or diploma in mechanical engineering would be highly desirable

• Strong local industry knowledge is essential

• Ability to work in a team environment
