We have multiple opportunities for Cost Estimators to join NSW Government within the water industry!

• 12 Month contract
• $500 - $700/day + super (depending on experience)
• Positions are based in Parramatta, Redfern and Olympic Park

About the Opportunity:

• The purpose of the position is to provide project cost estimation services for all stages of Delivery Management projects, building and maintaining competitive pricing schedule databases, and ensuring that WHS, Community and environmental issues are integrated into the development of cost plans
• Assist with benchmarking for cost comparison, including the use of first principles, past projects and other various sources
• Prepare project cost plans ensuring project scope, design/specification guidelines and timeline are considered
• Prepare Budget estimates and business cases, and deliver in a timely manner
• Assessment and calculation of contingency costs associated with risks and opportunities including design development, procurement and price escalation

About the ideal candidate:

• 7+ years’ experience in project management, project scheduling, and project cost estimating
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Project Estimating or related field
• Sound grasp of financial analysis and management
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and friendly, professional approach
