About the team

The City and Southwest Project Delivery team is managing planning and construction of the Sydney Metro rail network from Chatswood in Sydney’s North, under Sydney Harbour, into the CBD and all the way through to Bankstown in Sydney’s South. It’s a program of epic proportions which will bring together technical specialists, world-class technology and innovative ways of working to provide Sydney with better, faster and more reliable journeys.

The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for two experienced Senior Project Cost Controllers to join us in Sydney Metro City & Southwest Project Management Office (PMO) team

The primary purpose of the role is to manage the end-to-end cost function and the preparation, monitoring and controlling of a Sydney Metro project overall budget as approved by the NSW Government, ensuring the ongoing integrity of the Project Baseline. The role provides professional guidance in all aspects of project costs to achieve agreed objectives and best practice in project and contract standards to the satisfaction of key stakeholders.

About you

Extensive proven experience in project controls mainly in cost controlling (preparing, managing and controlling complex project cost plans) and systems for multi-discipline projects, preferably in major infrastructure or transport fields

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Project Controls in a related discipline. 

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Grade 9A ($135, 898) – 9E ($152, 204) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
