About the role

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an intermediate or senior legal secretary to work full-time in our Sydney office. In this role, you will provide quality and efficient support to the Construction team.

What does the role involve?

The Construction team is highly collaborative and the work you will perform will be dynamic in nature. Your primary role will be to assist the partners and practice group in making sure the practice runs smoothly.

On any given day you could be:

  • Managing diaries, juggling and arranging appointments, booking rooms and catering and ultimately ensuring client needs are met to the best of your ability
  • Providing general administrative support to partners and fee earners in the practice group – helping them do the best work they can
  • Assisting with the monthly billing process - doing your best to support our lawyers by facilitating an organised and informed process
  • Managing the team's filing including electronic files
  • Handling confidential information and opening new matters
  • Inputting and maintaining client data into client relationship software (Interaction)
  • Assisting with client queries
  • Assisting with client development work.

Ideally you will have 3 - 5+ years' experience as a legal secretary.

Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential, as are excellent communication skills. You will be capable of using automated billing systems and client relationship management software (Elite and InterAction preferred).
