JOB DESCRIPTION

Perfect Contracting is a major demolition contractor providing demolition services for the Sydney Metro Area. We have over 12 years of industry experience performing structural demolition, penetrations, strip outs, de-fits, make goods and emergency make safes.

The company is seeking a full time Civil Engineer with a strong focus on safety standards, and with a level of skill in structural steel/metalwork to work on building projects of Perfect Contracting Pty Ltd in Sydney.

Duties:

  • Plan and administer the contract and project components of works.
  • Organize and direct construction project site resources.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and undertake the take-off of quantities.
  • Apply computations considering rates, materials and finishes to enable pricing as part of contract submissions.
  • Ensure materials standards required including type, quantity and finish particularly.
  • Assess programs and projects to ensure the contract management brief is undertaken and maintained for the duration of the project.
  • Prepare project construction plans as required for programming.
  • Create both hard and soft copy contractual files and include all relevant communication.
  • Communicate and advise on engineering, constructability and contractual matters through propriety systems as required e.g. Aconex.
  • Carry out all administrative requirements.
  • Assist in the development of programs, including rosters and the allocation of resources.
  • Analyze and access material requirements and ensure compliance with relevant acts and standards.
  • Assist with quality control and project documentation.
  • Ensure that all documentation is undertaken in accordance with Perfect Contracting Pty Ltd requirements.
  • Perform duties in a manner that constantly seeks to build and improve on our ability to be effective and efficient in our business.
  • Maintain organizational project budget tracking for monitoring of construction costs.
  • Prepare detailed cost plans as part of budgetary planning.
  • Ensure that installation occurs in conformity with standards and client requirement, by preparing construction guidelines.
  • Ensure the completion and provision of accurate WH&S and QA documentation and reporting forms including SWMS, hazard report forms, OH&S documentation and forms etc.

Essential Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ industry experience.
  • Knowledge of structural steel/metalworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed manner
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Excellent reading and comprehension skills with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to clearly understand and adhere to Perfect Contracting Pty Ltd policies including Work Health & Safety.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Current WH&S Induction Training (White Card)

Salary:

Between $70,000 - $80,000 plus super, depending on experience.
