Permanent job opportunity in high-achieving town planning firm, with steady pipeline of work.

Your new company
Our client is a high-achieving Brisbane based Town Planning firm with a passion for providing clients with a high-quality and efficient service. This organisation conducts work in both the Public and Private sectors on projects across Queensland of varying scope. Due to a recent peak in workload, they are looking to add a Town Planner to their growing team and provide them with personal and professional development opportunities.

Your new role
Your role in the company will involve client and consultant liaising as well as supporting the team in drafting up fee proposal and consultation documents. You will have a hand in all stages of the project, from pre to post lodgement. You will be involved in site visits, the drafting up and reviewing of documents as well as providing assessments on proposals including legislation and compliance feedback. Your involvement will include submitting projects to Council and following up to ensure that the project is on track. These are your primary responsibilities in this role, along with other various general office duties.

What you'll need to succeed
A tertiary qualification in Town Planning is required, with experience in a similar role for a consultancy being beneficial. Successful candidates will have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and be able to work well within a team. In addition, you will be expected to have the ability to work autonomously and have strong time management skills. Your technical knowledge will include relevant town planning legislation as well as the hierarchy of planning tools. An understanding of relevant Development Application terms and the ability to read plans and sub-consultant reports is ideal. Our client is willing to help support and grow your technical skills and expertise in this role.
