Lendlease’s Services business is a specialist maintenance and asset management contractor that provides services to the roads, water, telecommunications, power and industrial sectors. Services is responsible for creating, operating and maintaining public and private infrastructure which services millions of people every day and keeps communities connected and running.

We are pleased to be partnering with SA Water to improve the delivery of essential water services to customers. To achieve outcomes Lendlease is building a 24/7 rapid response Metropolitan Field Services workforce, where together with SA Water we will deliver trusted water services to the community for their needs now and into the future.

Currently we have an exciting opportunity for an Adelaide based Improvement Engineer to join our SA Water service delivery team. The position provides an opportunity to positively impact the performance of the contract and provide a continuous improvement environment for service delivery outcomes.

What you will do

Working collaboratively with the Service Delivery team and our Client, you will develop a thorough knowledge of the contractual and operational environment of the contract, including the intent of SA Water regarding their vision for customer service excellence and operational best practice.

The role will lead a whole of contract continuous improvement regime to identify and capture innovation from all areas, and work through assessment processes to investigate, analyse, develop and implement the improvement initiatives.

You will also review planned and predictive maintenance procedures to ensure tasks; are reflective of a risk-based methodology, are industry best practice, reflect value for money outcomes, and include opportunities for efficiency through innovation.

In addition, you will investigate opportunities to improve whole of life performance and cost outcomes through capital improvements or modifications to assets in collaboration with SA Water. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement improvements to operational efficiency and effectiveness. You will also prepare business cases to support the SA Water internal capital works programs.

What you will bring to the team

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil) or related discipline
  • 5 plus years of experience in underground utility / civil infrastructure work
  • Experience in maintenance / project related commercial and contractual arrangements
  • Experience in continuous improvement / innovation strategies and processes
  • Ability to understand and review operational processes, methodologies, resources, etc
  • Experience with a range of analytics applications (e.g. MS Excel, BI, Tableau, MS Access, etc)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills A current driver’s license
