Position Title:Shift Maintenance Electrician - Smithton

Position Type: Regular - Full-Time ​

We have a new opportunity for a Plant Electrician to join our team at the Smithton Tasmania site. You will be working as part of the Engineering team providing electrical maintenance of equipment, processes and services to ensure optimal plant performance.

The Role
As a Plant Electrician, the expectation is that you will service, maintain and repair the electrical systems of the plant equipment. You will work directly with the production teams to ensure maximum availability and efficiency of our production facility. You will respond to breakdown calls throughout the shift ensuring minimal downtime. Participate in the maintenance program through SAP that includes preventative, corrective and breakdown responses. You will participate in workplace training, WHS&E and Company programs as required. You will pre-dominantly be working day shift Monday to Friday with the requirement to provide shift coverage during periods of absences by shift electricians or as required.

Role Requirements
We are looking an individual who has

• A grade electrical licence (must be eligible to hold a Tasmanian licence)
• Strong skills in fault finding and problem solving
• Current CPR certificate, preferably with a LVR certificate
• PLC experience desirable
• Previous manufacturing / production plant experience desirable
• The ability to safely work as an individual and within a team environment and follow Company policy and procedures
• Ability to up to 12 hour shifts
• Work collaboratively with others across the organization
• Willingness and ability to learn and develop skills on the job
