Overview of the role:

The problem solver. Day to day is about researching, resolving and refining. Looking at the details and taking them to the next level. The Product Engineer works alongside Product Development to push the boundaries of design refinement - whether that's a custom fixing or design problem this role is to ensure every product is 100% ready for mass production. Working closely with external suppliers, the Product Engineer will oversee the development of the golden sample and first batch production and ensure a seamless transition from prototype to mass production.

As we venture into the home and furniture verticals, you’ll be one of the key members of the product team, with a unique opportunity to shape the design and direction of our brand. This role has an emphasis on furniture design but will be supporting a variety of different product design projects. Ultimately you will help us build products that are easy to use and visually appealing to our customers.

As the Product Engineer, you’ll be reporting directly to the Head of Design and will be part of every stage of the product design process including, early concept development, physical prototyping, sourcing through to market launch. During this process, you’ll also be assisting with building relationships with Australian and Asian suppliers and manufacturers.

If you live and breathe design and engineering, enjoy being part of a small team with significant autonomy, enjoy a creative environment and no multi layer hierarchy, we’d like to hear from you! You’ll constantly challenge the boundaries of all things design and play a huge impact in helping Eva expand its product line.
