Your New Opportunity

Provide Application Engineering support or Project Management support for the installation of diesel and gas generator systems ranging from 1MW to 10MW.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Work with the Senior Project Manager to ensure the design, installation, commissioning and documentation of generator installation projects is in accordance with Australian Standards, OEM requirements, client and industry standards;
  • Assist with selection of suitable suppliers and subcontractors, work with suppliers and subcontractors to integrate MTU generators and ensure a quality outcome within budget and schedule constraints;
  • Supervise generator installation works by subcontractors and Penske staff;
  • Plan, coordinate, supervise and document commissioning of MTU generators and associated auxiliary and control systems;
  • Work with the sales team to support correct application of product in tenders;
  • Build and maintain internal relationships and external relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors through effective communication;
  • Project financial, reporting and schedule management (PM).
About you:
  • Appropriate Engineering qualifications – mechanical or electrical;
  • Three to five years relevant industry experience;
  • Strong interest and knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, gensets and associated equipment;
  • Ability to read and interpret product information bulletins-Sales, Service & Parts;
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects is desirable;
  • Ability to apply appropriate problem-solving techniques to technical, application and other related issues;
  • Effective time management and sound administrative ability;
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project Management software and business operating systems;
  • Ability to develop, maintain and grow the Penske Australia business;
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
