About the role:

Looking for an experienced Process Control Engineer to join our Lytton Refinery team. You will primarily provide support to Operations for advanced and regulatory controls, process unit trouble shooting and DCS (Distribution Control System) applications. The development of new and maintenance of existing advanced controls play a key part in the optimal operation of our plant and refinery profitability.

To give you an idea of what this involves, you will:

  • Monitor, optimise and make improvements to the unit advanced and regulatory process controls on an area complex to achieve the production plan safely, efficiently and reliably.
  • Participate in Management of Change for changes to the unit through pre-reviews and HSE meetings.
  • Participate in Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), SIS/SIL Assessment and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) as unit process control engineer.
  • Maintain Process Safety Information for the units – ensuring that any PSI defects are acted on and resolved.
  • Conduct and manage monthly alarm management review.
  • Support Projects in control system design, configuration, implementation, and commissioning.

About you:

You will bring a passion for Process Control and Optimisation and strive to achieve timely task completion. Essential requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent (typically Chemical or Process disciplines).
  • Demonstrated strength in stakeholder engagement, strong analytical capabilities and be a self-motivated, proactive team player with several years of process control experience.
  • Honeywell DCS and ASPEN product practical knowledge is desirable.
  • Some previous oil & gas industry experience is essential and experience with refinery technologies will be highly regarded.
  • Chartership, Professional Registration or those seeking these recognitions are desired.
