Position Summary

NEWest Alliance is a multidisciplinary collaboration between CPB Contractors and Downer, working with the Public Transport Authority to deliver two projects (Yanchep Rail Extension and Thornlie-Cockburn Link) as part of METRONET.

We are looking for a Stations Project Engineer to join our team on these projects. Reporting to NEWest Alliance Stations Project Manager, you will be coordinating the design, procurement and construction elements for a designated area on the project to ensure safety, time, cost and environmental objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement for the designated work area
• Negotiate subcontract/supply packages
• Undertake subcontract management and administration
• Coordinate construction elements for the designated work area
• Manage the planning, daily costings, monitoring, measuring and reporting of progress and cost
• Manage budgets and create accurate forecasts as the scope of work owner
• Preparing accurate monthly reports

About You

• Recognised engineering degree (preferably Civil or Structural)
• Experience in managing Subcontract packages (including cost tracking/forecasting, progress tracking, development of work packs, preparation of site instructions)
• Experience in managing precast concrete and structural steel packages highly desired (including managing of 3D fabrication model, shop drawing process, off site inspections, QA records)
• Experience with cranes including temporary works related to cranage
• Building experience highly desired (Train stations, hospitals, airport terminals and high-density housing)
• Experience working in a live rail environment a plus
• Experience working with MRWA a plus
