People, Culture and Safety Manager role in a Tasmanian Employer of Choice Organisation.

Hays are excited to be partnering with Adventure Patch for the recruitment of a People, Culture and Safety Manager. Adventure Patch are a proud Tasmanian not-for-profit childcare provider of Long Day Care, Outside School Hours Care and Family Day Care.

Your new role

Reporting to the CEO, this role is responsible for providing high level human resources and safety advice to the leadership team. The role plays an important part in driving and aligning the organisational values and philosophy to ensure children are supported, nurtured and engaged with the learning opportunities available to them. Through striking the right balance between operational and strategic HR activities, your roles and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Overseeing workforce planning, encompassing all employee life cycle activities including succession planning and transition to retirement.
  • Facilitate and drive cultural change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure legislative compliance and ethical practice requirements are met from a People, Culture and Safety perspective.
  • Manage Industrial Relations/ Employee Relations issue when required, including performance management, Award interpretation and investigations.
  • Partner with Learning & Development Leader to ensure targeted and outcome focused training and development programs are carried out to support core operations and build capability.
  • Develop and implement HR and WHS policies, procedures and guidelines.

You will be an accomplished People, Culture and Safety Leader who aligns with a values based organisation. You will be a relationship builder, who can guide, mentor and provide sound direction with a balance of empathy and business acumen. You will ideally have experience operating in a geographically dispersed workforce, managing diverse stakeholders.
