JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is a national engineering firm employing over 25 staff in South Australia. Highly skilled focusing on civil and structural design, they have continued to grow because of their strong focus on staying aligned to both their client’s markets and needs – as a result they have become a recognised industry leader.
Due to unwavering growth and the increasing workload, we are seeking applications from experienced Civil Design Engineers for a newly created role for their Adelaide office.
As the successful candidate, you will be working on multiple projects ranging in nature and size predominately across industrial and commercial structures. You will undertake civil design, supervise drafting personnel in preparing civil drawings, and provide support to clients during construction. A key component of the role is to develop and maintain productive relations with stakeholders including architects, builders and developers.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design & documentation for roadworks, stormwater, drainage, sewer & water reticulation works.
- Preparation of fee proposals.
- Meet & liaise with clients & stakeholders to build & maintain close relationships.
- Perform contract administration tasks.
- Adhere to company guidelines for task management to ensure works are undertaken & services delivered to the highest possible standard.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering with 10+ experience in civil engineering design.
- Strong technical design experience in Subdivision & Urban Development specifically with industrial and commercial structures.
- Proficient in the use of Civil 3D essential.
- Experience working within a multi-disciplined organisation.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
