Basis: Full time
Remuneration: 65,000-70,000 exclusive of superannuation

Position Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Building Physics / Sustainability Engineer to advise on sustainable solutions for new building projects. You will be involved in undertaking ESD analysis to provide solutions that maximise building performance including thermal modelling, daylight simulation, renewable energy scenarios, facade system efficacy, glare & shading. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to design, analyse, report, model and document ESD projects.
We are looking for an individual who is a self starter and able to competently liaise with clients, manage individual projects and also contribute to complex projects in collaboration with other disciplines to deliver practical sustainable solutions for a broad range of projects.

Criteria
- A recognised qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical engineering, Building Physics).
- Highly experienced in undertaking building performance analysis including thermal simulation, daylighting analysis, etc with IES-VE software
- Have a passion for delivering sustainable low energy building designs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of NCC, NABERS & Green Star protocols and rating systems;
- Familiarity with local government ESD reporting frameworks such as STEPS, SMP, BESS
- Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar position;
- Demonstrate technical leadership and have confidence in liaising with clients and customers with commercial awareness
- Possess strong communication and liaison skills

- solve problems using your initiative and creativity
- communicate clearly, particularly in your report writing and presentations
- manage individual projects, as well as contribute to complex projects in collaboration with other team members to deliver practical sustainable solutions to clients
- manage projects in a timely and efficient way.
