The Senior Network Engineer focuses on performing operational and project activities at a senior level. You will be responsible for ensuring service levels are being met, utilising your collaboration skills with stakeholders, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This is a 12 month fixed term role that has become available due to internal movement. 

Our customers are at the centre of everything we do and your goal is to assist in providing reliable, robust and contemporary Data Centre Network technologies and services so the departments and agencies can deliver for the Victorian public.

Day to day you'll be expected to:

• Maintain and manage Data Centre network infrastructure and working on projects.

• Deliver high level customer service to internal and external clients

• Promote and develop a safety and positive culture across the organization

• Extract, analyse and interpret data for collation

• Apply new concepts and ideas and contribute to decision-making processes

To be a success in this role you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in ICT, Engineering or Business and/or equivalent experience
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Have the following Specialist Skills and Expertise:
    • Must have strong Data Centre Switching & Routing Experience 

 -Cisco IOS/NX-OS/ Routing protocols including MPLS

  • Have good QoS knowledge, experience in VoIP and Videoconference.
  • Experience in Software Defined Networking skills 
  • -Cisco ACI and VMware NSX
  • Experience in Citrix NetScaler ADC and F5 Load Balancing 
  • Experience in Juniper SRX , Cisco ASA , Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls 
  • Cisco Wireless and Cisco ISE/Prime exposure
