This Sutherland Shire based role is within both the Structural and Remedial Team. You will be working with a group of highly experienced Engineers who love to mentor and develop engineers. We are looking for someone with a structural background who would also like to learn and develop a new skillset in Remedial Engineering.
As the Structural / Remedial Design Engineer, you will be responsible to:
• Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders as necessary;
• Produce, review and check designs in accordance with relevant design standards and codes;
• Deliver design calculations, reports and drawings under limited supervision;
• Provide structural engineering design service to clients as necessary;
• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment;
• Prepare project briefs, scopes of work and fees under limited supervision;
Your experience will include:
• Engineering degree in structural engineering;
• Ideally 3-5 years post-graduate engineering consultancy experience;
• Preferably some Remedial engineering experience
• A self-motivated, technically competent individual able to work independently but also comfortable in a team environment;
• Excellent communication and report writing skills;
• Structural design across concrete, timber, steel and masonry;
• Familiarity and/or experience with our preferred software packages: RAPT, Microstran, Inducta, Strand7.
Desirable:
• Experience assessing building defects;
• Residential and industrial design;
• Educational facilities;
• Able to maintain effective client relationships;
• Collaborative / Team approach.
