JOB DESCRIPTION
The role is key to ensuring the integration to Salesforce Marketing Cloud is successful. The Marketing Cloud Technical Consultant will have a strong programming background, and will have expertise in infrastructure architecture, client relationships, presentation, team management, and thought leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advisory on Salesforce Marketing Cloud and how other systems will integrate.
- Drive solutions development through requirements gathering/analysis/discovery, business plan creation, and solution level of effort estimation to ensure that client interests are met and potential business opportunities are established
- Drive preparation and delivery of client presentations, proposals, and SOWs that clearly articulate the solution relative to client needs
- Understand the additional applications/components that would be needed/required for customers and how they would fit into the overall solution design, including new and existing components, third party components, and integration points
- Collect Architecture and Delivery assets for reuse
- Support opportunities with product knowledge, solution capability, and best practices
- Support Demos and POCs
- Assist in the development of data sheets / sell sheets / competitive differentiators
- Advise on strategic accounts to ensure proper subject matter expertise.
- Creating Custom Activities to enhance Journey Builder
- Creating innovative technical solutions utilising scripting languages such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud’s AMPscript and SSJS to deliver highly dynamic and personalized content
- Conduct technical workshops, solution testing and validation
- Interacts with both technical and non-technical customers, attains relevant technical and business requirements, analyzes information and designs comprehensive solutions.
- Manages customer communications, conflicts, and negotiations related to overall solutions design.
- Develops visually rich and professional conceptual design documents targeted to varying audiences of business and technical aptitude.
- Develops detailed configuration specifications documentation targeted to technical consultants.
- Conducts solutions presentations and obtains customer acceptance to solution design
- Validates solutions after built and provides solution walkthrough with customer. Guides customer through solution deployment.
- Participates in pre-sales project scoping activities consisting of (but not limited to):
- Requirements, deliverables, assumptions and exclusions documentation
- Project resource and delivery timeframe estimates
- Client discovery and requirement meetings
- From time-to-time you may be expected to partake in other pre-sales activities such as discovery and technical deep-dive sessions, Proof-Of-Concept (POC) development with prospects
- Travels to client sites for onsite discovery and solutions presentations. Not expected to exceed 25%.
