JOB DESCRIPTION

The client is a very well established construction company specializing in commercial and large residential construction.

Some of the Safety Officer duties will include;
  • Deliver on safety management plans and safety objectives
  • Assist in accident/incident investigations and assist in the identification corrective actions
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure best safe work practice where required
  • Regularly review the site specific safety documents for required amendments
  • Provide effective advice and guidance to all company personnel on effective health, safety and training practices
  • Analysis of trends in relation to workplace safety performance
Preferred Safety Officer Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma in OHS and/or Cert IV TAE
  • An excellent understanding of setting up safety systems
  • At least 5 years commercial construction/ fit-out site based experience required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of relevant OH&S legislation and Standards
