About the role:
Continued growth and success in our Melbourne office have now generated a new opportunity for an experienced Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our team. You will seek expansion opportunities as well as lead the coordination and management associated with the delivery of mechanical services design.
Therefore, the successful candidate will be proficient in technical leadership, delivering quality mechanical services design and client-facing. Strong communication skills as well as your concentrated experience in the local Building Services Industry will set you apart from other candidates. You will thrive working as part of an experienced, dynamic team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Business Development and client liaison.
• Leading and carrying out Mechanical Engineering activities within the team from project start-up to project close-out.
• Leadership and strong teamwork skills and can manage, lead, and mentor.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in project delivery and process.
• Ensuring all interfaces (inter-discipline, client, implementation, vendor, etc) are identified and managed in the execution of all projects.
• Managing assigned work to meet project needs and proactively working with other team members to ensure those project goals are met.
• Ensuring costs are effectively controlled on assigned work and ensuring work is completed within budgeted timeframes.

Skills and Experience:
• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• CPENG credential required.
• Upwards of 10+ years of local experience in building services and consultancy.
• Technical leadership capabilities - high level of proficiency in performing mechanical services engineering.
• Comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of relevant Australian building codes and standards.
• High level of direct involvement in delivering large-scale projects.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
