We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Product Development Engineer with the expertise in Brake Control Systems.

Key Requirements:

  • Design and implementation of Brake Control algorithms
  • Understand existing algorithms and their architectures
  • Potentially support merging of competing algorithms with new architecture
  • Design and implement new functionalities in existing architecture using Simulink
  • Test the design using a variety of test methods (open loop simulation, co-simulation, rapid prototyping, in-vehicle testing,)
  • Design and implement improvements and change requests for existing functionalities using the same methods

Calibration of Brake Control algorithms

  • Calibrate the algorithm for different test vehicles or test platforms to support trunk algorithm development using simulation, rapid prototyping, and in-vehicle methods
  • Calibrate the algorithm for production development vehicles using simulation and in-vehicle methods
  • Support calibration of new algorithms on production or internal test vehicles globally

Validation of Brake Control algorithms

  • Document algorithm design
  • Perform model-in-the-loop unit testing for verification

Technical interface to customers (if needed)

  • Understand/discuss/negotiate vehicle performance specifications (both subjective and objective) with customers
  • Explain and discuss algorithms and functionalities with customers
  • Participate in customer demo and buyoff rides

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • 5+ years in Senior in Brake Control algorithm development or equivalent fields
  • Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow; C; Visual Basics or similar programing tools
  • Version control tools; issue tracking tools (e.g. MKS)
  • CarSim; Micro Auto Box or similar simulation and RPT tools
  • Measurement and post-processing tools from Vector and dSPACE or similar: CANape, ControlDesk, etc.
  • MS Office
