Senior Structural/Civil Design Engineer Position

Located in Pymble, Rise Consulting Engineers is an Australian company providing Civil, Structural and Remedial engineering services to a wide range of industry and community sectors. We began in 2017 and our goal is to look beyond the obvious to deliver cost-effective solutions for our clients.

The role:

We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our expanding team. This role is responsible for providing technical leadership in Structural / Civil engineering design projects.

Work closely with the company Managing Director in a small dynamic team of engineers and draftpersons.

Essentials:

• 7+ years local experience in a consulting engineering firm
• Experience in structural design of residential/commercial multi-storey projects
• Experience in structural modelling and analysis using: Inducta RCB, SLABS, RAPT, SPACE GASS / MICROSTRAN
• Experience in design of concrete including PT slabs, steel and timber framed structures
• Proficient in utilising Australian Standards AS3600, AS4100, AS1170, AS3700, AS1720
• Able to carry out site inspections and issue instructions/problem solver
• Strong verbal and written communication skills / Willing and able to coach & mentor young engineers

Desirable:

• Experience in stormwater drainage design/WSUD
• Internal driveway civil design / public domain civil design
• Report writing skills/remedial engineering experience
• CAD/Revit experience
• Leadership skills
