Workfast is seeking experienced 16T Forklift Drivers to join their team in Port Hedland to assist with the supply of Pipelines for Water Infrastructure project in the Pilbara commencing February 2021. The role requires availability for day shift Monday to Friday and 3 days of night shift per month.

Be part of Australia’s largest pipeline project working in Port Hedland. Iron Bridge is an FMG project comprising a magnetite mine linked to Port Hedland by pipe drawing on water.

This role suits applicants with Solar Farm experience and Civil Construction experience.

The Offer:

10 hour Shifts -Monday to Friday

• First 8 hours @$31 per hour
• 2 Hours Time and 1/2 $44 per hour

Saturdays:

• 2 hours @ Time 1/2
• 6 hours @ Double Time

Sundays:

• Double Time all day

Public Holidays

• Double Time 1/2 all day

Summary:

• 10 hour Shifts
• 6am - 4pm
• 6pm - 4am (3 days / nights per month)
• Monday - Friday (some Saturdays)
• 7 month project
• Must be available Public Holidays
• Must be available for 55 - 60 hour weeks

The Role:

• Unload trucks using an 16/T forklift.
• Operation of 12m Pronged Forklifts
• Unloading Pipes and de-nesting
• Pipe laying and strapping
• Unloading wood and concrete blocks
• Load pipes onto trucks for dispatch
• Adhere to safety protocols
• Working in a team
• Working to tight timeframes and deadlines

The Requirements:

• Experience operating 16T Forklifts
• Ability to Operate Pronged Forklifts
• White card
• Civil Construction experience
• Physically able to lift up to 26kg
• Current Forklift Licence
• Pipe handling experience (advantage)
• Experience unloading trucks
• Experience with Kalmar forklifts (advantage)
• Drug and Alcohol test
• Pre-employment medical assessment
