We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Foreperson to join our multi-franchised dealership located in Broome.

The primary role of the Workshop Foreperson is to assist Technicians and Apprentices to ensure that the highest level of guest satisfaction is achieved by fixing vehicles “right the first time” and promoting a productive, efficient and positive culture in the workshop environment.


  • Full Time Permanent Position
  • Remuneration will be $90k-$100k per annum based on experience

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Workshop Foreperson carries out a range of duties relating the day-to-day operation of the workshop, including:

  • Conferring with the Service Advisor to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements
  • Providing expert advice in relation to current mechanical condition of vehicles
  • Diagnosing and assist in repairing unusual problems
  • Assisting Technicians with their skills, providing technical support when needed
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relating to dealer product range
  • Ensuring that the workshop is in excellent condition in regard to cleanliness, safety and equipment condition
  • Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to the delivery or return of vehicles to guests
  • Providing high level customer service to the dealership’s customers

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Must have previous experience in a dealership environment (specifically Toyota experience would be highly regarded)
  • Must have an automotive qualification/certificate
  • Sound diagnostic skills & technical aptitude
  • Current c class (manual) drivers’ licence
  • Developed knowledge of the automotive industry
  • Fantastic organisational skills and people skills
  • Customer service focused
