Allume is an Australian company that has developed a world-first technology to make rooftop solar possible for apartments. The SolShare needs no change to the apartment metering infrastructure and optimally shares energy from a single solar system to multiple units within the same building. Job Brief

We are seeking for an experienced Product Development Engineer to be responsible for the hardware development work of the product.

The ideal candidate will be able to improve our processes in the product hardware development, product testing, project arrangement and manufacturing support.

Role & Responsibilities

• Product electrical or electronic testing planning and processing.

• Leading and managing the product hardware design or improvement.

• Internal testing devices and production testing devices development, which will include hardware development and basic level of firmware development.

• Quality and product testing and verification.

• Designing, executing, and testing new procedures.

• Procurement and supply chain control and management 

• Supporting the product manufacturing and assist to solve the production issue on site. 

• Leading and managing new product development process and reporting to the Hardware Lead.

Skill Set

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering or related field

• Experience in quality process engineering

• Experience in supply chain management and control

• Experience in electronic design

• Excellent hands-on working skills

• Excellent analytical and math skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems

• Comfortable working autonomously

• Knowledge of process engineering software systems and Python or similar programming languages

• Strong attention to detail

Nice to haves

• Experience working with high power transfer or distribution system

• Experience in project management

• Experience in manufacturing management
