Computershare Technology Services (CTS) provides global technology and infrastructure support for existing Computershare proprietary software together with a full range of development services for new products. The role: 

We currently have an opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join the Computershare Technology Services group. The DevOps Engineer will have a wide-ranging role that utilises and advances their skills in DevOps/Cloud tooling and practices, including working with the latest technologies and contributing to strategic adoption programmes.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide technical assistance to development teams to assist in the adoption and implementation DevOps practices including adoption of continuous integration (CI) / continuous delivery (CD)
  • Configure and support centralised build and deployment infrastructure
  • Work with development teams to configure CI/CD pipelines
  • Automate the creation of environments and installation of software
  • Automate manual, repetitive tasks related to software build, deployment and operations
  • Develop guidelines and support documentation
  • Contribute to research into existing and emerging technologies to enable DevOps
  • Ensure solutions delivered are fit for purpose, meet security, risk and audit requirements, meet customer expectations and do not cause high severity outages
  • Collaborate with individuals and teams to promote knowledge sharing
  • Escalate risks and issues to the Team Lead / Management as appropriate
  • Provide regular contributions to team knowledge base, product wikis and support documentation
  • Maintain documentation for environment details
  • Provide timely and accurate updates to stakeholders
  • Implement cloud solutions and technologies 


Highly regarded experience:

  • Infrastructure experience - AD, DNS, Windows Server Operating Systems, IIS, SQL, Load Balancing, Networking, High Availability / Data Recovery, Security (WAF, SSL, NIDS)
  • Experience managing Azure environments – VNets, NSG’s, Security centre, Storage blobs, PAAS services etc
  • Scripting skill sets – Python, PowerShell, JSON, Ansible
  • Tooling from the DevOps Periodic Table


To ensure your success in this role you will bring:

  • Solid experience working in an engineering role
  • Ability to create accurate and realistic plans/estimates, tracks actuals and adjusts estimates as necessary in order to deliver to customer expectations
  • Excellent in communication both verbally and in writing, with the ability to create accurate and punctual reports, deliver presentations and share information and ideas with others
  • Experience working within Microsoft technologies for software development
  • Experience working with cloud technologies
  • Solid skills in scripting languages including Powershell
  • Experience with any of the following specific technologies:
  • TeamCity
  • Jenkins
  • Octopus Deploy
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • SumoLogic
  • DSC, Puppet, Chef or other configuration management system
  • Database deployment technologies
  • Team Foundation Server and/or Git
