Job Description Summary About the Role
Cushman & Wakefield are seeking an experienced Plumber to support the delivery of outstanding Facility Management Services on behalf of a healthcare client based in Herston Quarter.
You will be an individual that is motivated by quality, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, as well as someone who is aware of hygiene practices in keeping with working in a healthcare environment.
You will be tasked to undertake the performance of assigned planned maintenance works and works to ensure practical operational support on behalf of the client.
Job Description
What you Will Be Doing
- Undertake urgent, routine & ad-hoc maintenance, repairs, inspections on client’s premises and equipment as directed by the Facility Manager.
- Participation in the management of operational escalations.
- Undertake and record Job Safety Analysis/SWMS, client required documents prior to commencement of tasks.
- Ongoing development of innovative service delivery methods and techniques.
- Ensure effective KPI management of works
- Prepare and submit internal reports as required and comply with all 3rd party audits.
- Participate in the management of occupational health and safety.
- Retrieve work order details, manage workflow and complete all tasks in line with KPI requirements.
- Comply with all Cushman & Wakefield systems used to meet its health and safety obligations.
- Work with Operations Manager and Facility Manager on minor & major works program and chargeable jobs.
- Seek to reduce reactive work volumes through efficient maintenance and operational practices.
- Audit contractors regarding timeliness of service delivery and compliance
- Assist with the coordination of response to reactive works outside of business hours (Inc. being on call as required).
- Ensure delivery of all scheduled routine tasks and preventative maintenance activities.
- Relevant Trade Qualification / experience – Plumbing.
- Valid manual drivers’ licence
- OH&S, Risk Management, Environmental Management or Quality Assurance systems.
- Ensure adherence to all legal requirements associated with the role including, but not limited to, The Trade Practices Act, Legislation, Fair Trading Act, Contract and Employment Law.
- Experience in Building Services Maintenance.
- Basic estimating (small works).
- Quality-orientated with a high level of attention to detail/ accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work comfortably in a hospital facility.
