Reporting to Access, Interfaces & Stakeholder Manager, could you be our new Access Engineer? In this position you will evaluate the applications and requests from third parties to gain permission to traverse an Over Size Over Mass (OSOM) vehicle across the V/Line network.

About the role

  • Review of applications of oversize / over mass (OSOM) vehicles to cross V/Line network tracks
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with Third Party applicants
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of internal procedures for third party applications
  • Analyse effects of changes to legislation and relevant railway and building codes to ensure the integrity of all OSOM access and works
  • Travel required at times to work sites to carry out inspections as required
About you
  • Engineering or relevant technical qualification
  • Previous rail experience is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong attention to detail
