Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Hours Per Week: Full Time (38 Hours per week)

Salary: $55000 per annum plus superannuation

Introduction:

Summerhill Civil is a multiphase civil construction services firm, working towards the betterment of the society, building up a rigid and safer future through their involvement in many aspects of Civil construction services.

Duties:

• Prepare plans to customers with detailed drawings that include lighting project specifications and cost estimates;
• Provide appropriate support to customers on the technical specification of lighting products and systems;
• Provide electrical engineering support to site electrical team;
• Recommend and incorporate design improvements to lighting products and systems that conform to requirements and specifications;
• Conduct testing to ensure quality, efficiency, reliability and safety standards;
• Co-operate with any reasonable policy or procedure relating to health, safety or environment at the workplace as per the policies and procedures;
• Draw electrical schematics to demonstrate the process operations;

• Prepare specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials;
• Estimate material, labour, or construction costs for budget preparation;

• Prepare electrical design, electrical drawings, ensuring correct equipment and instrumentation specifications are followed;
• Deliver installation to meet time and cost plans;
• Prepare asset registers, asset replacement plans

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum Bachelors degree in the Electrical Engineering
• Minimum three years of experience in the relevant field
• Practical experience with both high and low voltage equipment
• Detailed knowledge of PowerCAD design software
• Knowledge on ISO 9001 is essential
• Competence in DigSilent PowerFactory software
• Competent in Microsoft Office package
• Effective communicator with exceptional planning skills
