Global Engineering and Construction (GEC) is a leading provider of management and construction solutions to clients across the energy and oil & gas sectors. We are seeking experienced Trades Assistants seeking to join our Site Project Team in the COOPER BASIN on a FIFO roster. You will primarily work as part of our on-site team to assist in the delivery of a variety of flowline, mechanical and piping projects within the Oil, Gas, and Energy Sectors.

Description:
We seeking expressions of interest from experienced Trades Assistants who will support the delivery of pipeline and lease construction projects across the Cooper Basin.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Above ground and buried pipeline installation and repairs
• Installation, repairs and upgrades to production and processing facilities
• General fabrication of and repairs to various onsite equipment and facilities
• Various other mechanical and civil construction tasks as directed by client and site supervisor
• General support to various mechanical and civil services and repairs according to specifications and client requests

Depending on experience, additional activities may include:

• Assist with pneumatic and hydrostatic testing
• Pipeline spacing
• Ad-hoc operation of heavy equipment including; backhoe, loader, skid steer, forklift
• Dogging and Rigging activities
• Operating Heavy Vehicles
• Assist with sandblasting and coating activities

Project Timeframes

GEC is currently managing multiple projects across the Cooper Basin with an expected ramp-up in March. Rosters during this period may vary depending on the project schedule requirements. If you are successful in this position, you will be required to attend training in Brisbane or Adelaide as part of the onboarding process.
