THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Strategy, Architecture and Business Collaboration IGIT, the 6 month contract role of Project Solution Architect is essentially accountable for ensuring that the overall Solution Architecture is aligned to business needs and the overall IT Architecture. Essential purpose of this role includes the following.

• Analise options and provide recommendations regarding solutions alternatives and approaches
• Deliver Solution design
• Help guiding technology investments
• Work with multiple partners in delivering the optimum end-to-end solution for Origin
• Ensure that the appropriate solution is of the right cost and quality
• Determine the impacts of business change across all services and work with multiple internal & external service owners in the delivery of the end-to-end solution
• Provide advice to business partner, project manager, business & IT leaders
• Work with Business, Industry bodies and Products vendors, Service architects, Enterprise architects to define end-to-end solution designs
• Ensure investments on IT assets align to business & IT roadmaps

IS THIS YOU?

You’ll need to be business focused and technically proficient to be able to guide the project team towards the desired outcome.

Commercially and business focused, highly analytical and an excellent communicator. You will also hold qualifications in a Business or IT Degree or similar and have significant experience as a Senior Solution/Program Architect. TOGAF certification is highly desirable.

You’ll Also Have

To be considered for this opportunity, you’ll be able to show you’re an experienced architect in the required field of expertise.

• 5+ years of experience in IT Development or architecture
• Architecture role in large utilities industry related programs. IG highly desired.
• Pragmatic, hands-on and outcome focused.
• Experience with executing operational vendor management of external and/or offshored application development
• Seen as a content leader in the solution area by stakeholders
