- $54.80 per hour, plus super
- Central Perth location
- 6 month contract with immediate start
Job Description:
Core duties and responsibilities:
- Reviews and approves contractors and consultant’s proposed designs and modifications of systems for new and existing infrastructure.
- Ensures all new designs and modifications of systems are in accordance and compliance with Australian Standards and the client's Standards.
- Provides professional technical guidance, advice and corporation to internal and external stakeholders on matters.
- Investigates and reports on all incidents including, IFRS, and Site Safe databases.
- Prepares Maintenance Strategies and contributes to the overall Maintenance Plan
- Prepares technical specifications and tender documents
- Liaises with functional and operational areas and other relevant government agencies as required to achieve optimum train service operations.
- Liaises with contractors employed on behalf of the client.
- Development of work scopes and specifications to enable repair of assets or engagement of specialist consultants
- Review technical documentation from consultants to ensure alignment with specifications and requirements
- Review quality of work on site
- Provide specialist technical advice to Maintenance Manager on remediation options
- Maintain and update critical failures spreadsheet and provide weekly update reports
Essential:
- Possession of a Degree in Engineering to allow eligibility for membership to the Institute of Engineers (Australia) in the category of Chartered Professional Engineer.
- Considerable ability to quickly assimilate complex technical engineering principles and issues and apply these in an operational environment.
- Demonstrated experience in project and contract management
- Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to resolve complex technical and operational problems and issues.
