Opportunity for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join state government department.
Your new company
We are currently partnered with a leading state department on their search to find a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join their team for a six month period with an immediate start.
Your new role
Being a key team member of the team some responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Preparing Maintenance Strategies and technical specifications to tender documents
- Developing scope of work for repair of assets
- Reviewing and approving proposed designs and modifications to existing assets and infrastructure
- Ensure designs are complaint with Australian Standards including AS/NZS 3000:2007 Wiring Rules and Electricity regulations and acts
- Providing technical advice to the maintenance Manager
- Updating and providing weekly reports on critical failures
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Engineering
- Proven experience in contract and project management
- Ability to understand and apply technical engineering principles and apply practically
- Highly effective communication and analytical skills are highly desirable
You will also be subject to a pre-employment medical and national police clearance.
