The Role 

The role of Project Manager is to manage the delivery of Compac solutions to our customers, on time, to budget and to spec. 

Day to day this role will; manage projects from pre-sale, through to handover to the after sales team, coordinate local based portion of projects delivered from outside of Australia. prior to sale, aid in project scope definition with sales, the customer and sales engineering, ensuring specification is complete, perform detailed risk analysis for large or complicated projects and present pre-sale, interface with PMO for specification reviews, risk analysis, design engineering and project planning, post Sale (CNZ/CEU portions of project), build project plans including resource requirements and review resource allocation with PMO. For projects that have the complete lifecycle delivered from Australia with no involvement from other Compac locations, then will fully manage the project, but maintain PMO process and guidelines.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic aptitude
  • Proven success in delivering high value light engineering solutions (minimum 3yrs experience)
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Familiar with Microsoft Project
  • Experience in the agri-tech, fresh produce or packhouse industries
  • Experience working with Australian and New Zealand machinery safety standards
  • Experience creating innovative produce handling solutions
  • AutoCad and PC skills (especially Excel)
  • Experience building relationships with customers
  • Experience confidently presenting solutions to customers
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required
